Job summary

Sonsray, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Reefer Technician in Vernon, CA for a full-time role. The position focuses on servicing transport refrigeration units in the field, diagnosing complex issues, and performing maintenance at customer locations.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience with reefers, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently while traveling to sites and adhering to safety regulations. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 2+ years experience servicing transport refrigeration units.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair truck and trailer refrigeration units, including Thermo King and related equipment.
• Perform advanced diagnostics using scanners, electronic test equipment, and onboard computer systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and component replacements on transport refrigeration units and APUs.
• Review and complete shop orders accurately while maintaining service documentation.
• Identify and repair system failures, including leak detection, component removal/replacement, and Freon testing.
• Assemble, install, and replace refrigeration components using soldering, welding, and refrigeration tools.
• Install new refrigeration units on trucks, trailers, and vans.
• Travel regularly to customer sites to perform mobile service calls, operating company vehicles safely.

Job Title: Mobile Reefer Technician

Salary Range: $35 to $44

Position Summary:
Mobile Reefer Technician will support our Fleet Division. This role is ideal for a self-motivated technician who enjoys working in the field, diagnosing complex issues, and servicing transport refrigeration equipment at customer locations.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair truck and trailer refrigeration units, including Thermo King and related equipment.
• Perform advanced diagnostics using scanners, electronic test equipment, and onboard computer systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and component replacements on transport refrigeration units and APUs.
• Review and complete shop orders accurately while maintaining service documentation.
• Identify and repair system failures, including leak detection, component removal/replacement, and Freon system testing.
• Assemble, install, and replace refrigeration components using soldering, welding, and refrigeration tools.

• Follow all company safety policies, DOT requirements, and auto safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support service operations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum age 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• MInimum 2 years previous experience servicing transport refrigeration units (reefer units) is required.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile service environment.
• Comfortable using diagnostic tools, scanners, and electronic testing equipment.
• Experience with soldering, welding, and refrigeration equipment is preferred.
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
