Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in Indiana. You will provide therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, helping patients improve mobility and independence in home-care settings.

The role requires a current PTA license, graduation from an accredited PTA program, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Travel to patient homes or work locations is expected, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for education.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• 6+ months PTA experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques to support continued progress.
• Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, orthotics).
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders and state guidelines.
