Job summary

Elara Caring in Indiana is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide in-home therapy through established plans, helping patients reach mobility and independence goals. You will educate families, monitor progress, and use assistive devices safely.

Requirements include an active PTA license and 6+ months of PTA experience preferred; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel between patient homes. Benefits include insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and support up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs to support progress.
• Teach safe use of assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, orthotics).
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services per physician orders and state guidelines.
