Job summary

Elara Caring is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our field-based care team. You will deliver therapy per the treatment plan, help patients reach mobility goals, and monitor progress across home health visits.

Requirements include an active PTA license, graduation from an accredited PTA program, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A driver\'s license or reliable transportation is essential for travel between patient homes and locations.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques to support continued progress.
• Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices such as canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics.
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders and state guidelines.
