Job summary

UnitedHealth Group (Caretenders) is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to support in-home therapy under a supervising PT. You will deliver treatment, educate patients and families, and coordinate with nurses and physicians to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of client characteristics.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervise treatment per PT plan of care.
• Instructs and assists patients in active and passive exercise and gait training.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Educate patient, family, and other care team members on therapeutic techniques.
