Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a valid state phlebotomy license (if required).
• Must have a valid state driver’s license; car insurance; good driving record.
• Proficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using vacutainer and syringe.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations.
• Able to work in mobile setting, driving to client facilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client facilities (nursing homes) as directed by dispatcher.
• Unload phlebotomy tray and collect samples at patient bedsides.
• Identify patients accurately before collection.
• Label, process, and deliver specimens to clients.
• Reload equipment and manage supplies in vehicle.
• Maintain clean work area and follow safety procedures.
• Report status to dispatcher and keep records as instructed.
• Handle on-call evenings/weekends as needed.
