Job summary

American Health Associates, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to serve patients in Rockford, IL—visiting homes, nursing, and assisted living communities with flexible, part-time schedules. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care and accurate specimen handling.

The candidate should have phlebotomy certification (preferred) and experience, strong venipuncture skills, reliable transportation, and excellent communication abilities to work independently in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance (100/300/100), and age 21+.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• The self-direction to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Rockford, IL
• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility staff
