Job summary

American Health Associates is hiring a Mobile Phlebotomist to serve Peoria, IL, visiting patient homes and care facilities with flexible schedules. The role requires venipuncture expertise and a patient-centered approach to elderly patients.

You will travel across Peoria, perform collections, ensure proper labeling and transport, and document activities for the lab, while maintaining safety and professional communication with partners.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with 100/300/100 insurance.
• Clean criminal history and background checks as required for patient care.
• Home Draws: 3+ years phlebotomy experience required; credentialing for Home Draw.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with a flexible schedule.
• Passion for SAFETY and CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Peoria, IL.
• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport.
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners.
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility personnel.
