Job summary

Versiti Blood Research Institute in Illinois seeks a Donor Driver to support mobile donation operations, transport staff and supplies, and ensure donor safety and satisfaction. Under supervision, you will follow DOT guidelines while operating a full-size van, load/unload, screen donors, perform mini-physical and phlebotomy, and maintain equipment and records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• GED required.
• 1-3 years relevant people facing experience preferred.
• Less than 1 year job-related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Follows DOT guidelines when operating a full-size van/Promaster and safely transports staff, supplies, and equipment.
• Loads/unloads supplies and sets up at the mobile site, including technology systems and quality control.
• Performs donor screening (donor histories), mini-physical, and phlebotomy.
• Treats donors with customer service excellence, responding to inquiries and complaints promptly.
• May conduct automation (Alyx and/or Trima) and recruit donors for automation.
• Contributes to a positive team culture and supportive employee experience.
• Maintains product integrity and ensures proper identification of donors; completes records.
• Observes donors for reactions and provides care as needed; assists staff in reactions.
• Rebooks donors for future donation appointments.
• May be subject to additional background checks as required by sponsor.
• Performs duties in compliance with regulatory requirements and standard operating procedures.
