Job summary

Biodesix is seeking contract mobile phlebotomists in the Williamsburg, VA area to collect samples at patient homes or workplaces via nasal swab or venipuncture. This role supports blood-based tests used in genomics and proteomics to inform tumor biology and COVID-19 testing for asymptomatic individuals.

You must have excellent phlebotomy skills, include venipuncture, and at least one year of phlebotomy experience within the last three years.

Qualifications

• Excellent phlebotomy skills including venipuncture.
• Minimum of 1 full year of phlebotomy within the last 3 calendar years.
• Professional verbal and written communication with clients and scheduling teams.
• Ability to follow established procedures and exercise sound judgement.
• Organized scheduling and patient contact to ensure timely draws.

Responsibilities

• Contact each patient within 24 hours.
• Schedule appointments promptly (1–3 days).
• Communicate with the office regarding scheduling or draw issues.
• Perform specimen collection per kit instructions for accurate testing.
• Pack and ship samples the same day using provided materials.
• Invoice draws promptly for payment.
