Job summary

Biodesix is seeking contract mobile phlebotomists to collect samples at patients' homes or workplaces, using nasal swab or venipuncture for blood-based tests. Virtual training will be provided for all sample types and kits.

Note: This is a contract position with payment remitted within 30 days of invoice; vaccination against COVID-19 is required or accommodation may be requested from HR where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Excellent phlebotomy skills including venipuncture.
• A minimum of 1 full year of phlebotomy within the last 3 calendar years.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills for client communication and issue reporting.
• Ability to provide respectful, compassionate care to patients undergoing treatment or who are ill.
• Ability to follow established procedures and exercise judgment.
• Organized method for contacting and scheduling patients and communicating with the office.
• Strong time management to ensure prompt draws.
• Technical knowledge to print, scan, upload and manage electronic communication.

Responsibilities

• Contact each patient within 24 hours.
• Prompt scheduling of appointments (1 to 3 days).
• Communicate with the office regarding scheduling, patient issues or draw complications.
• Specimen collection adhering to kit instructions precisely to ensure accurate testing.
• Samples packed and shipped same day using FedEx shipping materials provided by company.
• Prompt invoicing of draws for payment.
