Management Performance Associates is seeking a contract Phlebotomist for Imperial, CA and surrounding areas. The role involves performing venipunctures, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring proper transport and documentation.

You must hold a valid state phlebotomy certification and a high school diploma, with 6 months of experience at least. The position offers a 3-month project duration with potential for permanent placement, provides benefits, and includes mileage reimbursement.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens and handling data.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate techniques with straight or butterfly needles and follow doctors’ orders.
• Match lab requisitions to specimens and properly label, centrifuge, split and freeze as required.
• Check test requisitions for accuracy and package specimens for transport.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and follow transport protocols.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and relay laboratory results when requested.
