Modern Machining Solutions Inc is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Imperial, CA and surrounding areas. The role involves blood draws, specimen labeling and proper handling, with potential for extension based on performance.

The position requires pediatric and geriatric experience, valid phlebotomy certification for the state, and a clean driving record. Mileage expenses are paid. Schedule typically 6 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients as required.
• Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles and follow physicians' orders.
• Match requisition forms to tubes, label, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required.
• Check test requisitions against scripts to ensure accuracy and package specimens for transport.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and label containers correctly for transport.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer phone calls and read results to address inquiries.
