Calqulate Metrics Ltd is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Imperial, CA and surrounding area. The position involves performing venipunctures, labeling and processing specimens, and maintaining accurate patient data.

The role requires 6 months of venipuncture experience, a valid phlebotomy certification, and a clean driving record. Mileage expenses are paid; 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Explain clearly the venipuncture process to patients and/or other staff.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles and follow physicians' orders.
• Match lab requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Check test requisitions against scripts to ensure accuracy; package specimens for transport.
• Store specimens at required temperatures; label, containerize, and transport to maintain integrity.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and read lab results to address inquiries.
