Job summary

Akumin is hiring a full-time PET/CT Technologist for our Merced mobile team. The role offers travel to support partner sites in Tracy and Modesto, providing diagnostic imaging and patient care close to home.

As a PET/CT Technologist, you will ensure patient safety, perform high-quality imaging, and communicate with patients and radiologists. Required NMTCB/ARRT(N) certification, state license, CPR, and ability to work at multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT (N)
• State license, as required
• CPR certification
• As applicable, valid state driver's license
• Ability to work at several locations
• Strong customer service skills
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, etc. and radiation safety/regulations, including proper documentation and technique when working with radioactive materials/patients.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists
• Trains new technologists and/or PC's
• Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, coils, etc.).
