Job summary

Akumin is seeking a part-time PET/CT Technologist to join our Porterville mobile team, with travel to partner sites in Tracy and Modesto. The role emphasizes patient care, accurate imaging, and collaboration with radiologists in a flexible, multi-site environment.

The ideal candidate will hold NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification, CPR, and the ability to work at multiple locations, delivering high-quality studies with clear communication and safety first.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Certification NMTCB or ARRT (N) required; state license as applicable.
• CPR certification and ability to obtain/maintain state licensure as needed.
• Willingness to travel to partner sites and work across locations.
• Friendly, patient-focused approach with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality PET/CT images for diagnostic purposes.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and safety.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and team members.
• Support training of new technologists and staff when needed.
• Troubleshoot scanners and peripheral equipment as required.
