Job summary

Akumin in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a part-time PET-CT Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging and ensure patient safety and comfort. The role spans outpatient settings, including freestanding centers and hospital-based facilities, with flexible scheduling.

The incumbent will communicate with patients and radiologists, operate imaging parameters, and help maintain equipment. NMTCB/ARRT (N) certification and state licensing are preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT (N).
• State license as required; CPR certification.
• Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and radiation safety; proper documentation and technique with radioactive materials.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Effectively communicates with customers and radiologists.
• Trains new technologists and/or PCs.
• Troubleshoots scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, coils).
