Job summary

Hawthorne Health seeks a field-based sonographer to travel to patient homes and perform adult and pediatric echocardiograms following protocol.

You will set up portable ultrasound equipment, explain procedures, and ensure accurate labeling for cardiology review. Requires ARDMS/RDCS or CCI/RCS, AE certification, and 3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• RDCS/ARDMS or RCS/CCI certification.
• AE certification (Adult) required; PE certification is a plus.
• 3+ years of recent sonography experience in adult and pediatric patients.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally/regionally.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet; tech-savvy with digital tools.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability in field-based environments.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging

• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines

• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review

• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment

WHAT YOU BRING | REQUIREMENTS

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer(RDCS)from ARDMS,or Registered Cardiac Sonographer(RCS)from CCI.

• Certification in Adult (AE) is required, Pediatric (PE) certification not required but a plus

• 3+ years of recent sonography experience,in both adult and pediatrics

• Basic Life Support(BLS)

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally/regionally

• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet required; Tech savvy andself sufficientwith digital tools

• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings

• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner

• Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments

• Time management and organizational skills

$450 - $600 a day

Rate of pay is per visit, not per day.
