Akumin Inc. is hiring a Patient Coordinator for our mobile unit in Patterson, CA. The role focuses on delivering excellent patient service, registering patients, verifying insurance, and supporting clinical staff during procedures.

The position requires strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail. CPR certification and a valid California driver’s license may be needed for mobile operations; Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification required prior to hire.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers, and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Register patients in various systems.
• Answer phone calls professionally and courteously.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization when needed.
• Provide patient instructions and assist with patient transport and positioning.
• Maintain clean, organized mobile unit work area and stock supplies.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient visits in electronic systems and written records (HIPAA compliant).
