Job summary

UMMA Health seeks a Mobile Optometry Program Manager to lead and grow the organization's mobile and portable optometry services across schools and community sites. You will oversee staffing, scheduling, partnerships, equipment readiness, and compliance, ensuring safe and efficient care.

The role requires coordinating with organizational leadership, clinical leaders, and community partners, while managing budgets, performance, and program expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred; experience may substitute.
• Three+ years in healthcare operations or similar program management preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and overall operational management of the Mobile Optometry Program.
• Develop, implement, and maintain standardized workflows for mobile and portable optometry services.
• Coordinate program operations across multiple schools, clinic locations, community sites, and other service locations.
• Develop annual, monthly, and weekly service schedules based on patient demand, school calendars, provider availability, staffing, and organizational priorities.
• Supervise program staff and participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training.
• Establish staff assignments and daily responsibilities for mobile/portable service locations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, business administration, health services, or related field
