Job summary

UMMA Health is seeking a Mobile Optometry Program Coordinator in Los Angeles, CA. The role centers on coordinating patient access, scheduling, and registration for the Mobile Optometry Program across schools and community sites.

You will supervise patient flow, coordinate with the Optometry Assistant and Program Manager, and ensure smooth operations at clinic and school locations. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred; a strong focus on privacy and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred for patient population.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient access, scheduling, and registration for mobile optometry services.
• Serve as primary onsite liaison with schools and clinic staff; manage patient flow and waiting areas.
• Oversee enrollment, insurance collection, and documentation per program procedures.
• Drive and operate the mobile optometry vehicle; ensure fuel, maintenance, and safety.
