Job summary

OHSU Casey Eye Institute is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician for the Casey Eye Institute Community Outreach Program. The role supports mobile and telehealth vision screening across Oregon, performing essential testing and data collection.

The position requires travel, primarily on weekends, with 16 hours per week (0.40 FTE). A COA or higher certification is preferred, and experience with ocular testing equipment is essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited ophthalmic training program or equivalent.
• AA in Ophthalmic Technology or higher with required experience.
• Current COA or higher certification required.

Responsibilities

• Screen participants and record medical history and chief complaint.
• Perform ophthalmic testing including OCT and autorefractor measurements.
• Assist doctors during examinations and provide patient education.
• Maintain equipment and ensure clinical cleanliness.
