Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking an Ophthalmic Tech 3 for the MobilEyes Mobile Vision Van. This role involves providing vision and eye health screenings across community locations, handling equipment setups, and supporting patient engagement initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with clinical experience in optometry or ophthalmology. A passion for community service and knowledge of ocular health is essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of closely related clinical experience or training in optometry or ophthalmology.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• CPR certification upon hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides vision and eye health screening exams at community locations.
• Safely loads, delivers, sets up, tears down screening equipment.
• Collects and documents operational, screening, and exam data.
• Drives the Mobile Vision van safely to community locations.
• Contacts patients to schedule in-clinic or mobile vision van exams.
