Job summary

Eye Health America is seeking an ophthalmic technician under the supervision of the clinical manager to assist doctors in patients' eye examinations, perform workups, run vision tests, collect medical data, monitor flow, and support scribing.

Ongoing travel to different clinic locations may be required; overtime could be necessary as part of team coverage across the Southeast. The role supports delivering high-quality patient care and efficient clinical operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active and valid Driver’s License.
• Two years of work experience and/or Ophthalmic Assistant Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gathering medical records and patient information
• Taking ocular measurements, both anatomical and functional
• Administering or preparing medications
• Providing eye care and contact lens information to the patient
• Maintaining and cleaning ophthalmic instruments
• Assisting the doctors in basic procedures
