Job summary

Cortland runs a centralized painting operation across its multifamily portfolio in Orlando. You move between properties, covering unit turns, touch-ups, and surface repairs as workload demands.

The daily duties include completing a full-unit repaint or two touch-ups, with prep, prime, and finish, plus drywall patching, sanding, and texture matching. You’ll maintain spray equipment and log work in the CMMS, coordinating with Service Managers as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years interior residential painting experience; custom home background a plus.
• Solid skills with brush, roller, and spray application for prep, prime, and finish.
• Ability to perform small drywall repairs and texture matching.
• Valid driver's license with required vehicle insurance; travel between properties.
• Working knowledge of spray equipment maintenance, OSHA regulations, and elevated-work safety.
• Familiarity with CMMS software; willingness to learn quickly.
• Availability for all shifts, including weekends when the schedule requires it.

Responsibilities

• Complete one full-unit repaint or two touch-up units per day, depending on the turn schedule.
• Prepare, prime, and finish; manage drywall patching, sanding, and texture matching as part of make-ready.
• Maintain spray equipment; ensure shop is organized, stocked, and safe.
• Log completed tasks and material usage in the CMMS daily.
• Coordinate with Service Managers on scheduling and priorities; raise issues early.
• Operate independently with reliability when on-site without a supervisor.
