Job summary

Denver Rescue Mission is seeking a Chef to oversee Fort Collins Rescue Mission kitchen operations. The role includes inventory management, meal planning, staff/training duties, and ensuring food safety across shifts.

It involves coordinating with the food services leadership and directing volunteers to support daily meal service. The position supports both full‑time and part‑time hours, with responsibilities across buffet service, health code compliance, and event catering, ensuring

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of food industry procedures and sanitation codes.
• Ability to cook in large quantities and manage kitchen helpers.

Responsibilities

• Inventory management of daily food stores and donations.
• Plan and supervise weekly meal menus and special events.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene per standards; ServSafe certification training provided.
• Supervise kitchen staff and volunteer services; coordinate with Kitchen Supervisor/Director.
• Maintain kitchen policy manuals and staff meetings; support other areas as needed.
