CMHA-CEI in Lansing, MI seeks a Mental Health Therapist (MHT) to deliver crisis intervention and assessments for adults with mental health and substance use issues.

The role involves conducting screenings across settings, coordinating referrals, and documenting cases. Strong collaboration with local law enforcement and service providers is essential to support safety planning and comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology or related field required.
• Two years of professional or paraprofessional experience treating adults with mental illness required.
• Michigan credential required; background checks including MSP clearance, Central Registry, license verification, Medicaid/Medicare, education and work history verification.

Responsabilités

• Deliver crisis intervention services for adult mental health and substance use issues.
• Conduct psychiatric screenings in diverse settings including office, ER, homes, and community locations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and referral to AMHS/ITRS programs or other providers.
• Maintain case documentation and provide consultations with other service providers.
• Develop safety plans with consumers and execute program activities aligned with CMHA-CEI policies.
