Job summary

Nevada Health Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant for its Mobile Medical Unit in Carson City, NV. This full-time clinical role supports patient-centered care, prepares treatment rooms, documents visits, and assists with minor procedures in a dynamic mobile health setting.

The position requires a Medical Assistant credential, a high school diploma or GED, and current BLS/CPR certification. Experience with EHR/EMR and a commitment to serving underserved populations are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
• National Certification through NHA as CCMA; if not certified must obtain within 180 days of employment.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for examination and treatment.
• Take patient histories and vital signs.
• Administer injections and apply dressings as instructed.
• Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
• Observe infection control policies.
• Assist providers in preparing for minor surgeries and exams.
• Assist with scheduling tests and treatments.
• Complete and maintain patient documentation and records.
• Collaborate with team and participate in committees as requested.
