Job summary

KNAPP is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Technician to service automated storage and retrieval systems in the Clear Lake, IA area. The role requires on-site presence, strong electro-mechanical skills, and a commitment to high customer service standards.

You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to emergencies while coordinating with customer sites and KNAPP teams. Ideal candidates have several years in maintenance or service roles, hold a valid driver’s license, and

Qualifications

• 6+ years of maintenance/service experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality of service through clear communication with customers and KNAPP.
• Prepare legible reports that document activities and outcomes.
• Implement site quality procedures, safety procedures, and any statutory requirements.
• Hold regular meetings with the Maintenance Operations Manager to discuss progress.
• Provide maintenance service support for installed systems as needed.
• Log spare parts usage accurately with the customer and KNAPP spare parts team.
• Ensure tools and equipment are well cared for and kept in good condition.
• Be flexible and adapt to changing role requirements.
• Submit accurate timesheets and documentation weekly for sign‑off.
• Travel as required and provide training to customer maintenance teams.
