Job summary

Sibanye-Stillwater is seeking Mechanics 1, 2, or 3 for mobile maintenance at East Boulder Mine, McLeod, MT. You will perform predictive and preventive maintenance on diesel equipment and related systems.

The role emphasizes safe operations, adherence to procedures, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with a maintenance team on underground and surface machines. A 5x4 schedule with 11.5-hour days is typical, and you may be required to supply or obtain tools as per the company

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, electrical and diesel engines with a focus on diesel equipment.
• Experience with schematics, parts and service manuals.
• Working knowledge of rigging procedures.
• Knowledge of start-up, shut-down, lockout/tag-out and safety procedures.
• Overhead crane operation and inspection experience or equivalent.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Independent work habits.
• Must have the required tools per Sibanye-Stillwater tool list or be willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment availability.
• Repair and service mobile underground and surface equipment such as LHDs, drills, rail haulage equipment, and surface vehicles.
• The focus is on diesel equipment, but work may include stationary and mobile equipment such as hoists, crushers, conveyors, air compressors, and water pumps.
• Maintain equipment to ensure safety and productivity.
