Job summary

Kenosha Public Library seeks an Outreach Driver to operate the Bookmobile across the city and county, supporting library services at multiple locations.

Under supervision, you will provide circulation, readers advisory, and basic reference, drive safely to stops, and perform clerical tasks associated with outreach programs.

You will stock the vehicle, manage patron accounts, and assist at events, using Gmail, Calendar, and Sheets as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Class B CDL with Air Brake certification.
• At least five years of driving experience; CDL preferred.
• Customer service or retail experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct circulation, readers advisory, and basic reference at outreach sites.
• Drive the Bookmobile to scheduled daily stops and events.
• Check items in and out; create patron accounts.
• Stock the Bookmobile and maintain shelving order.
• Provide information about library services and programs.
• Use Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Sheets and other systems.
• Ensure safety of vehicle, staff, and public during emergencies.
