Job summary

City of Kenosha seeks a Bookmobile Outreach Driver to serve the public at diverse city and county sites. You will drive the Bookmobile and other library vehicles, provide circulation and reference services, and assist with outreach programs across multiple locations.

The role requires a Class B CDL with Air Brake certification, five years of driving experience, and strong customer service skills to engage diverse patrons. Flexibility to travel and adapt to events is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Class B CDL with Air Brake certification required.
• At least five years of driving experience, preferably two years with CDL.
• One year of customer service or retail experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide circulation, readers advisory, and basic reference at outreach sites.
• Drive the Bookmobile to scheduled stops and community events, ensuring safety.
• Check items in/out and create patron accounts.
• Stock Bookmobile materials and maintain organized shelving.
• Use Gmail, Google Calendar, and library systems for scheduling and records.
