Job summary

Dane County Library is seeking two Limited Term Employees to perform general circulation duties on the mobile library. Responsibilities include checking in/out items, shelving, and assisting with route preparation and vehicle upkeep.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of customer service experience. A valid driver’s license or access to reliable transportation is required; background checks may be used as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of consistent work experience preferred in customer service or education.

Responsibilities

• Checks in items returned; checks out library materials to patrons.
• Shelves items on vehicle and at library headquarters.
• Sorts/arranges holds for patron pickup.
• Prepares vehicle for the start of route and cleans up at end of shift.
• Drives mobile libraries.
