Job summary

Hall Public Safety Upfitters in Ohio is seeking skilled Automotive Equipment Installers to install and service equipment for police, fire, utility, and other essential fleets.

Experience with automotive wiring, electronics, fabrication, or vehicle customization is a plus, and training is provided for the right candidate with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. This is a hands-on role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. and work around vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and on a team.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Remove factory-installed interior and exterior vehicle components.
• Install emergency vehicle equipment, including light bars, sirens, speakers, push bumpers, partitions, and more.
• Install cameras, computers, and license plate recognition systems.
• Perform 12V electrical wiring and system installations.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
• Organize tools and inventory.

Driving Requirements

• Valid Ohio driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must be insurable under LEHR's commercial vehicle insurance policy
• Ability to travel throughout Ohio and operate company vehicles safely

Compensation and Benefits

• Trainee Level: $16- $18/hour
• Lead Technician: $18-$21/hour
• Full-Time/non-exempt

Work Location
