Job summary

St. Louis County in Minnesota seeks an Information Specialist II in the Finance & Operations Division within the Public Health & Human Services Department. The role handles payments to clients, bills claims through MMIS & MNITS, posts payments, and provides internal and external customer service.

The position supports ACH setup for clients and vendor maintenance for group residential housing. The incumbent can be based in Duluth, Ely, Hibbing, or Virginia, reflecting the county's mobile work

Qualifications

• Permanent status as an Information Specialist I or Office Assistant; OR three (3) years full-time paid verifiable experience in a clerical support position.
• Demonstrated ability to operate personal computer-based systems.
• Proficiency, as defined by the Civil Service Commission, in operating word processing software.
• Ability to type from clear copy at a rate of 40 w.p.m./net.

Responsibilities

• Process payments to clients.
• Bill claims through MMIS & MNITS.
• Post payments received in MMIS and MAXIS.
• Provide internal and external customer service.
• Set up ACH for clients in MAXIS.
• Maintain vendor records in MAXIS for group residential housing.
