Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking veterinarians to perform in-home hospice, palliative care, and compassionate euthanasia across Pennsylvania communities. You’ll work in a private, doctor-led practice focused on autonomy, empathetic family support, and meaningful end-of-life care in the comfort of home.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and an active U.S. veterinary license.
• Ability to travel independently to in-home appointments.
• Willingness to participate in rotational weekend scheduling.
• Comfort with end-of-life care discussions and compassionate euthanasia.
• Hold a valid US driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services within your service area.
• Travel independently to scheduled appointments in a mobile veterinary setting.
• Perform physical exams, assessments, medications, sedation, and end-of-life care.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions with empathy and clear communication.
• Maintain accurate medical records and coordinate with the Heartstrings team.
