Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking an HVAC/Telecom Technician to perform field service maintenance and emergency repairs on telecommunications and data-center HVAC equipment. You will diagnose and repair cooling systems on cell towers and shelters, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires traveling, on-call readiness, and the ability to work solo or with a team. A valid driver’s license and EPA 608 certification are needed, and MasTec provides training, benefits, and a

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand electrical ladder schematics.
• Basic plumbing knowledge of sump pumps.
• Knowledge of pumps, dry coolers, and cooling towers.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to travel M-F and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain commercial cooling systems on cell tower cooling units.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, or install components of HVAC systems.
• Perform maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment.
• Install or replace duct systems in shelters.
• Test electrical circuits for continuity and leaks.
• Ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
