Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking an HVAC/Telecom Technician to perform field service maintenance, remedial and emergency repairs on HVAC equipment for data centers and telecom sites.

Responsibilities include maintaining cooling systems, installing components, testing wiring and ensuring safety. Travel and on-call work are highly preferred; company vehicle provided. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Reads electrical ladder schematics and understands general job-related documents.
• Communicates effectively verbally and by email.
• Willingness to be on call and travel extensively for work.
• Experience reading and understanding telecommunications and data processing operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain commercial cooling systems on cell tower cooling units and related components.
• Replace or install HVAC systems and hydronic heating systems as needed.
• Install or replace duct systems in telecommunications shelters and related wiring.
• Test electrical circuits for continuity and test pipes for leaks.
• Troubleshoot low-voltage control systems and ensure safety compliance.
