Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking an HVAC technician to perform maintenance, repair and replacement on commercial systems across North America. You will diagnose issues, install and commission equipment, and ensure facilities run efficiently.

This role requires at least three years of field experience, an EPA refrigerants license, and a safe, customer-facing approach. Occasional travel (10–20%) is required, with union-based benefits and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HVAC mechanical troubleshooting experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• EPA refrigerants license and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a knowledge exam and communicate diagnosis clearly.
• Safety-focused and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and replacement on commercial HVAC systems.
• Provide customers with high level service to fix facility inefficiencies.
• Advise customers with solutions at commissioning and aftersales.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and upsell opportunities.
• Travel 10–20% to branch locations for installation, repair and troubleshooting support.
