Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC TB Journeymen Mechanic I to support light and heavy commercial environments. You will perform maintenance, repair, and replacement on HVAC systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with journeymen to improve facility performance.

You will travel 10–20% to support branch activities, participate in training, and communicate clearly with customers. A EPA refrigerants license and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of commercial/industrial HVAC mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• EPA refrigerants license required.
• State or local licensing required.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% to support branch activities.
• Ability to pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement on commercial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC service issues in light or heavy commercial environments.
• Collaborate with journeymen on repair of chillers, pumps, fans, and boilers.
• Support commissioning and aftermarket service by identifying inefficiencies and issues.
• Provide quotes and recommendations to improve system performance and efficiency.
• Document service activities clearly to customers and internal teams.
