Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking HVAC Service Technicians to support North America’s growing HVAC business from Aberdeen, SD.

You will work with light commercial and commercial systems, ensuring safe operation and customer satisfaction while aligning with our safety-first culture. The role requires union membership or willingness to join, 3 years of HVAC troubleshooting/repair experience, and ability to install and service chillers, rooftop units, pumps, and related mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• 3 years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience in the HVAC industry and/or Data Center vertical environments.
• Able to repair centrifugal compressors, scroll compressors, screw chillers.
• Must be a member or willing to join a local Union.
• Able to install complete systems (Chillers, Rooftop Units, plumbing and all supporting mechanical systems).
• Travel may be required 10% to 20% to support Branch Customers activities, trouble shooting, installation and repair.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair commercial HVACR systems end-to-end.
• Provide quotes to customers and participate in JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program.
• Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Work with Journeypersons and apprentices on complex repairs and retrofits.
• Enroll in training programs to gain knowledge in HVAC products and sales quoting.
