Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mobile Operating Engineer to operate, maintain, and repair building mechanical systems across client properties. Role requires travel between assigned facilities to ensure HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related systems run at peak performance.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in facilities operations, a technical background in building systems, and an engineer’s license with relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in building systems preferred.
• 3–5 years in building maintenance or facilities operations.
• Valid engineer license; EPA Refrigerant Handling may be required.
• Experience with BAS and CMMS software is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related systems.
• Diagnose issues and perform repairs; respond to emergencies across locations.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and logs in CMMS.
• Coordinate work orders across multiple client sites; travel as needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and on-site safety protocols.
