Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building systems and energy efficiency, is seeking experienced technicians to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems on customer sites in North America. You will diagnose complex control faults and work with customers to deliver effective, timely solutions.

With mentorship duties, you will train technicians, complete project documentation, and promote system enhancements while ensuring safety

Qualifications

Minimum four years of commercial controls troubleshooting in HVAC.
Technical degree or two years’ experience in electronic/mechanical systems.
Ability to install and service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
Strong written and spoken communication skills.
Knowledge of control theory and building automation systems.

Responsibilities

Diagnoses and repairs complex control systems malfunctions across building automation platforms.
Consults with customers, gathers data, and provides field retrofit recommendations.
Mentors technicians on building automation activities and safety practices.
Produces field documentation and ensures customer satisfaction during service.
Communicates progress and issues to management and coordinates with project teams.
Supports design and configuration work, including drawings and bill of materials.
Trains owners/operators on system operation and provides manuals.
