Job summary

Johnson Controls in Miramar, Florida seeks an HVAC Truck Based Service Controls Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of building control systems on client sites. You will diagnose complex issues, ensure high customer satisfaction, and mentor junior technicians.

Requirements include four years of controls troubleshooting experience in HVAC, a technical degree or equivalent, and strong communication skills for on-site interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in HVAC.
• Vocational School or associate's degree in a technical field.
• Ability to install and service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
• Strong communication and writing skills for on-site customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions across building automation.
• Provide field proposals for retrofits, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Mentor junior technicians and coordinate with subcontractors as needed.
• Maintain safety standards and accurate project documentation on site.
• Communicate clearly with customers and promote additional service opportunities.
