Heartstrings Pet Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia is seeking compassionate veterinarians to deliver in-home hospice and end-of-life care for pets across Hartford and surrounding CT communities. You’ll practice medicine with time for families, staying on living room floors to answer questions with kindness and help families say goodbye with dignity in familiar surroundings.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• Active U.S. veterinary license and license verification process.
• Willingness to work with pet families in home-based hospice settings.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and 90 lbs with assistance.
• Weekend schedule flexibility and self-managed scheduling options accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets with compassion.
• Practice independently on the road while maintaining client communication and documentation.
• Collaborate with a supportive team and participate in onboarding and mentorship.
