Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to deliver in-home hospice and euthanasia services across Connecticut and surrounding areas. You will work on the road, providing patient-centered care in the familiar surroundings of a pet's home, with time to listen and support grieving families.

You will have a flexible schedule (2–5 days per week) with mentorship and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) required.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
• License verification, background check and driving record review before start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate end-of-life hospice care and in-home euthanasia for pets in the home setting.
• Practice medicine independently on the road with mentorship and team support.
• Answer families' questions with kindness and help them navigate final moments with dignity.
