Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking compassionate veterinarians to provide in-home hospice and end-of-life care across New Haven, Guilford, and surrounding CT areas. Work is performed on the road with a schedule that fits your life, prioritizing time with families and pets in their familiar homes.

You'll practice medicine on the road with strong team support, onboarding, and mentorship, earning a generous base salary plus quarterly bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) required.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Weekend availability; 4 weekend days per month negotiable.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; up to 90 lbs with assistance.
• License verification, background check, and driving record review prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and end-of-life care with compassion.
• Practice veterinary medicine on the road with scheduled flexibility.
• Support families during the pet's final journey with dignity and care.
• Collaborate with a team offering onboarding and mentorship.
