Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Wirtgen Group Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician/Mechanic to travel to customer sites for in-field repairs on paving, milling/reclaimer, and related equipment.

You will diagnose, order parts, complete technical reports, and maintain company assets while communicating clearly with customers and team members. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, 2 years' experience diagnosing and repairing construction equipment, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of continuous experience in diagnosing and repairing construction equipment.
• Ability to read complex hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Must furnish and maintain a set of tools and any specialty tools required by the company.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Operates a mobile service vehicle and travels to customer locations for in-field repairs on paving, milling/reclaimer, and related equipment.
• Diagnoses problems and performs repairs using established guidelines and flat rates.
• Orders parts and prepares technical reports; maintains service truck cleanliness and readiness.
• Ensures safety policies are followed and communicates effectively with customers and team members.
• Attends factory and other training as specified by supervisor.
