Job summary

Amplify Health is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant/Patient Service Associate for our Mobile Health Unit, an FQHC service. The role blends clinical support with patient services to bring care directly to families and communities.

The ideal candidate has MA training, CMA/RMA preferred, and a commitment to serving underserved populations. BLS certification is required or obtainable shortly after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant training program required.
• CMA/RMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required or obtainable within designated timeframe.
• Experience in outpatient clinic, community health, or FQHC setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to serving underserved and diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic prep according to Amplify Health guidelines.
• Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical histories, vital signs, and screenings.
• Assist RN or provider with patient triage, including telephone triage.
• Complete information gathering segment of triage with specified patient population.
• Refer problems to RN or provider and conduct post-encounter follow-up.
• Manage provider messages and test result reports per site procedure.
• Manage prescriptions and refill paperwork; schedule appointments.
• Review instructions and provide educational material to patients and families.
