Job summary

Pearce is seeking a skilled Generator Technician to service and repair commercial generators on cell tower sites in your region. The role suits independent, self-starting individuals who are willing to travel.

Core experience includes two+ years in generator maintenance and knowledge of installations, electrical and electronic components. Must be able to drive long distances and be on-call as required; OSHA safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of generator maintenance experience preferred and at least one year of related work experience with generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes.
• Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair; knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; moderate computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining generators, diagnosing and repairing problems, installing and replacing components or entire systems, and performing additional maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment.
• Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on generators to ensure proper readiness, reading and following blueprints or design specifications to install or repair.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and test for proper operation.
• Be responsible for responding promptly to Power/Generator alarms; be on call 24/7 if necessary and respond promptly to calls and emails.
• Perform work with awareness of hazards related to power supply equipment and safety practices; attend safety meetings.
